January Update

Happy New Year to all CFOL members, library friends and patrons, and readers everywhere!

The January First Friday book sale for CFOL members only takes place on Friday, January 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Chico branch library’s meeting room. Take advantage of the less crowded atmosphere of the members-only sale and of the 50% discount on all items this weekend. The regular Saturday sale for the general public takes place every Saturday from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. January 5 will also feature this deep discount.

And don’t forget the many items for sale at 50 cents each in the library’s lobby whenever the library is open.

The Chico branch library will be closed in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Saturday, January 19.

With funding from Butte County, grants and your CFOL, the Chico branch library’s Maker Lab is equipped and operative.  Users can learn new skills or exercise existing talents with support from volunteers and students.  Creativity and imagination are welcome!  Virtual Reality experiences also take place in the Lab on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m.

For more information, visit the Maker Lab and talk to library staff.

Are you and your friends receiving the Butte County Library newsletter?  Keep up with special events, new books and DVDs, activities and learning experiences offered, and other news delivered to your email inbox.  Ask any library staff member to update your library account so you can receive the monthly newsletter.
