CFOL SUPPORTS SUMMER READING PROGRAMS

Summer reading programs at the Chico branch library take place in June and July. There are challenges, activities, and presentations for all ages: adults, teens, and children. Two ukelele concerts, an “escape room,” and other programs receive support from CFOL for prizes and materials for these special events. Visit the Chico library to get more information and sign up.

IMAGINE YOUR CHICO LIBRARY WITHOUT CFOL BOOK SALE SUPPORT

Used-book sales are the primary source of income for your CFOL.  Book sales in March 2019 generated a record of more than $7300. Monthly sales income has enabled your CFOL to provide books, materials, furniture, support for activities, and other resources for library operations. A few examples:

Major contributions to the construction, remodeling, and equipping of the Maker Lab
Furniture purchases for Children’s Room
Software and other media licenses
New computer hardware
Support for adult’s, teen’s, and children’s programs
Major funding for an electronic sign outside the library (in process)
Book, magazine, and media purchases to fulfill patron requests and librarians’ selections
