Volunteers sift through the donated books and the library's catalogue to identify candidates for the library shelves.

One dedicated volunteer searches old Chico newspapers on microfilm.  He finds obituaries for people who write to the librarian requesting them.

The CFoL Trivia Bee team made it to the 3rd round.  Who knew a bee has five eyes!

Several volunteers take care of library patrons so that regular staff members can do special jobs away from the circulation desk.

There are many more jobs done by volunteers... internet computer help,  mending books and magazines, children's reference desk, and running the CFOL organization.
