There are a variety of volunteer positions available that help to keep your library the vibrant place that it is.<\/p>\n<p>Express your appreciation to library staff and volunteers. Hearing \u201cthank you\u201d and \u201cwe love this library\u201d really brightens the day and makes all the hard work worthwhile.<\/p>\n<p>Consider making a bequest to the CFOL in your will or trust. Of course donations are also welcome at any time.<\/p>\n<p>Attend Chico City Council meetings and Butte County Board of Supervisors meetings when library funding is on the agenda.<\/p>\n<p>Encourage friends, neighbors, and acquaintances to obtain a library card and use the library. Bring young children to the story times and attend other library events.<\/p>\n<p>FIRST FRIDAY MEMBERS BOOK SALE<\/p>\n<p>Be sure to attend the members-only book sale on Friday, February 5 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the library&#8217;s meeting room. Members may also bring a friend to shop with smaller crowds than attend our regular Saturday sales held weekly from 9:00 to 11:30 am.<\/p>\n<p>CALENDARS OF EVENTS AVAILABLE<\/p>\n<p>Visit your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buttecounty.net\/bclibrary\/ChicoLibrary.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Chico branch library for calendars<\/a> of children, youth, teen, and adult activities. Your CFOL supports many of these activities with financial contributions, prizes, volunteer assistance and other resources.<\/p>\n<p>NEW LOWER PRICE ON PUZZLES!<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve lowered the cost of the beautiful \u201cLove Your Library\u201d jigsaw puzzles designed by local artist Steve Ferchaud.
