HOLIDAY SCHEDULE<\/p>\n

The Chico branch library will be closed on December 24 and 25 for the Christmas holiday, and on December 31 and January 1 for the New Year holiday. \u00a0There will be no CFOL book sales on December 24 or 31.<\/p>\n

There will be no CFOL meeting in December. \u00a0The usual\u00a0“3rd Tuesday” meeting schedule resumes on January 17, 2017. \u00a0All CFOL members are welcome to attend these meetings.<\/p>\n

YEARLY “BUY THE BOOK” CAMPAIGN RETURNS<\/p>\n

The very popular “Buy the Book” event occurs each December. \u00a0At this time library patrons may select from a variety of brand-new books on display near the library entry to purchase as gifts to the library’s permanent collection. \u00a0 Your gift may honor or be in remembrance of someone or just a thoughtful donation to benefit the library and its patrons. \u00a0A book plate will be placed in the book if you wish, commemorating the\u00a0donor or honoree. \u00a0Postcards are also available to notify the individual. \u00a0 Your generous gift is a lovely gesture of holiday spirit that benefits so many.<\/p>\n

CFOL SPONSORS HOLIDAY PROGRAM<\/p>\n

Your CFOL is pleased to present a free holiday performance by local band the Yule Logs,<\/a> touted as the “hardest working band in show business!” \u00a0Come join in the holiday fun\u00a0at this family-friendly program on Thursday, December 8 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm in the Chico branch library.<\/p>\n

HOLIDAY CRAFTS AND BAKE SALE<\/p>\n

The Japanese Storytime Group proudly sponsors its third annual holiday crafts and bake sale on Saturday, December 10 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Chico branch library. \u00a0 Proceeds from the sale benefit the library’s children’s department. \u00a0Your support of this ambitious group will be appreciated.<\/p>\n

CHICO BRANCH REMODELING CONTINUES<\/p>\n

On nearly each trip to the library visitors are surprised anew with changes and \u00a0rearrangements related to the ongoing remodeling project partially sponsored by your CFOL. \u00a0A schematic map of the proposed finished design is posted near the circulation desk. \u00a0Completion is anticipated by the end of December.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
