North Valley Week of Giving

We are participating in the North Valley Week of Giving, made possible by Ken Grossman and Katie Gonser.

The North Valley Week of Giving is designed to help charitable organizations in Butte, Colusa, Glenn, and Tehama counties work together to communicate the good work that they do to their communities and to ask for support. Collectively, nonprofits work together in a spirit of cooperation rather than competing against each other, thus creating a resilient and dynamic fabric that supports the many fields of service in our area. The North Valley Week of Giving are committed to strengthening the areas’ nonprofits and helping us all have a platform to share our stories with the community.

dedicated to the library

We are an organization of volunteers dedicated to supporting the Chico branch of the Butte County Library. We are committed to making our library a place where families and community members can learn and grow.

we need you

Your time keeps the library open. We need you. Chico Friends of the Library recognizes the hard work of its many volunteers. Every time a volunteer passes a 100-hour increment in service, his/her name is published in the CFOL newsletter. Volunteers achieving a 500-hour increment are honored at the annual Volunteer Appreciation Lunch.

support the library

We have a book sale every Saturday from 9 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the Chico Library meeting room. There are no book sales on holiday weekends when the library is closed. All proceeds support the library.
